The Full Story: Scholarships
I feel passionatly about so many things, but as independent artists we are not always in the position to help in the ways we want to. When I expanded my brand and created the jewelry line I wanted to find a way to support a few causes close to my heart.
Here are two...
High School Rodeo Entrepreneurs of America Scholarship Fund
Youth rodeo associations across America are very generous when it comes to scholarships for graduating seniors attending college or trade schools immediately after high school. However, when my oldest son, Levi, was graduating we found a gap in support for young adults taking a different path.
Levi had been running his own successful fencing company since he was 16 years old. He had learned about taxes, payroll, managing multiple employees, bidding jobs etc. He was already functioning in a business model that was working and college was not a good fit for him. He has since continued running that business along with getting his real estate license, but at the time of graduation he did not qualify to apply for a single scholarship or grant.
After looking closely at several other seniors taking over family farm operations, continuing to give horse riding lessons, training horses, or other functional and creative ventures I decided these hard working seniors deserve recognition and support as well.
At the birth of my jewelry line the High School Rodeo Entrepreneurs of America Scholarship Fund began.
A portion of profit from each sale in the “Rodeo Collection” will go toward this fund and scholarship grants will be given to select graduating seniors.

I am so excited to be able to meet and encourage these graduating seniors to follow their own paths and work hard to reach their full potential.
Support Live Music + Give Lessons
“If you cannot teach me to fly, teach me to sing.” — Peter Pan
…or play an instrument (added by me!)
Music is good for the soul and good for society. There is no end to the value music brings to us as a whole. That is why we have to invest in the future and make sure generations to come are able to learn to sing and play music regardless of their financial positions.
A portion of the profits from the “Support Live Music” line will go toward scholarship grants for children ages 8-18 who are interested in vocal or instrument lessons in their local area.
Scholarship grants will be paid out for one year directly to instructor based on attendance and work ethic.
